Superhero Coloring Pages
Capes, masks and a city to protect: these superhero coloring pages feature original heroes you won't find in any movie. That's the fun of it. Each hero has a blank emblem and a plain suit, so kids decide the colors, the name and the powers. You'll find flying heroes, sidekicks, animal heroes and sheets for designing a hero from scratch.

Invent your own hero
The design-your-own sheets work as a writing prompt as much as a coloring page. Walk kids through five questions before they pick up a crayon.
- What's the hero's name? Combine a title and a silly noun, such as Captain Pancake or the Midnight Gecko.
- What's the power? Flight, speed, strength, invisibility, talking to animals, or something odd like freezing time for ten seconds.
- What's the weakness? Every good hero has one. It makes the story interesting.
- What does the emblem look like? A star, a paw print or an initial fits inside the blank chest shape.
- Who does the hero help? A city, a school, a neighborhood, the ocean.
For colors, comic artists often give a hero two or three bold colors that contrast, such as orange with teal or green with purple. Pick the suit colors first, then use them again on the cape, mask and boots so the costume looks planned.
Teachers use the empty comic panels for a short story with a beginning, a problem and a solution. The everyday hero page fits a unit on community helpers.
Frequently asked questions
Are these superhero coloring pages free?
Yes. All superhero coloring pages are free to download and print for personal and classroom use.
Are these superheroes from movies or comics?
No. Every hero is our own design, with no existing costumes, emblems or names. That keeps the pages free to print and share, and it leaves the story up to your kid.
Do you have easy superhero coloring pages for preschoolers?
Yes. Pages marked Easy show one hero in a simple pose with a big cape and thick outlines. The animal heroes are a favorite with ages 3 to 5.
Can I make a superhero coloring page of my child?
Yes. In the AI Coloring Page Generator, describe your kid as a hero, for example "a girl with pigtails in a cape and mask flying over a city." Describe an original costume and leave out the names of existing characters.
